There’s an adventure that has been in the back of my mind for quite a while, which I haven’t been able to embark upon. It’s to make a trip to Hokkaido, Japan on my own during winter.
Some people might argue that a trip to Hokkaido screams relaxation and comfort rather than adventurous, but I do have my reasons for choosing this destination. First, the Japanese northern beauty has a reputation for boasting great nature and landscape, with a host of different activities for visitors, which intrigues me a great deal. Second, I’ve never traveled by myself in the past, so to do this completely alone is going to be a real challenge for me. So I have really chewed over this idea and have even crafted a plan of what I would do and which places I would visit in Hokkaido. I would start off my journey with Sapporo, which is the capital city of Hokkaido, to indulge in the exquisite local cuisine, including ramen and seafood here. As I am an architecture fanatic, I would then move to the Otaru port town, a place famous for picturesque canals and historic buildings. The natural landscapes in Hokkaido are breath-taking, so I would definitely have to visit Furano and Biei and Lake Toya. I’ve heard people praise the caldera lake and flower fields in Furano and Biei, so much that I think I will be changed as a person after I come there.
This kind of journey is something that the old me probably never even considered, since I am a home person who’d rather lie around than do any outdoor activities. But I believe escaping the crowds for once and seeking something out of the ordinary for once would do me good. I’ve always been curious about snow and northern Japanese landscapes, so this journey can be a chance for me to gain new experiences and insights into the world and also to savor the renowned attractions in Hokkaido.

Câu trả lời mẫu Speaking Part 3: Describe an adventure you would like to take in the future
1. Who likes to read adventure books?
Well, adventure books probably would be right up your alley if you yearn for excitement and thrill. These books paint out faraway lands with exotic creatures and flora, with characters that are constantly challenged and plot twists are always lurking around the corner. Definitely a feast for the ones who want an escape from their mundane daily lives. This genre is most popular, I believe, with teenagers and young adults, but even older generations could find adventure books captivating.
2. Do people prefer adventure novels or adventure movies?
I think these days, there are more movie fanatics than avid readers, which is reasonable since movies’ visual and auditory stimulation can help people immerse themselves more easily. Adventure movies are definitely not an exception, as the characters and backgrounds can come to life through the movie screen and this makes a more vivid and exceptional experience for many. However, I do believe that adventure novels have their own passionate fanbase, since there can be people who get off on visualizing the story in their own way, which only books can offer. So it’s very hard to tell.
3. Why do people like to read adventure books rather than take an adventure?
Well, taking an adventure is not as easy as, say, adopting a fish or buying groceries. It requires much preparation in terms of planning, money, health and in a lot of cases, time off work and school. Only a few people can actually afford that and are willing to leave behind their workload to embark on a journey to lands that could potentially be dangerous and lose their financial stability or their chances in academic paths. Meanwhile, reading adventure books is a nice alternative, which is less costly, risk-free and can be equally engaging if you find the right book. Perhaps that’s why it has become many people’s choice.
